Parking

Each guest shall pick up their parking decal at the University Police Department located at 1801 Fayetteville Street (at the corner of Fayetteville and Pekoe Streets) between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. You must bring a valid ID and your vehicle tag number.

Guests are allowed to park in the areas designated as commuter parking (C), faculty/staff parking (F/S), and student parking (labeled with a star) with a visitor parking decal. The closest student parking lot located near WNCU is the St. Titus Church parking lot located on Moline Street. Guests are not allowed to park in areas that are designated Restricted (R). There is no fee for visitor parking decals. Click here to view NCCU’s campus map for reference.

Another option for visitor parking is along Dupree and Moline Streets. These streets are closer to WNCU and avoid the process of getting parking decals from the University Police Department. These are public streets. Please keep in mind that although these streets are closer to WNCU and do not require a campus decal to park, guests are not guaranteed a space. You are only allowed to park on these streets for two hours before being subject to a parking violation from the City of Durham.

WNCU is located in the Farrison-Newton Communications Building which is located on the corner of Lawson and Fayetteville Streets. We are located in room 145. Please arrive early in lieu of the parking instructions above. We look forward to greeting you!
